Task Order Manager at Amentum in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description The Task Order Manager (TOM) is responsible for overseeing Task Order (TO) operations and ensures the high-level performance activities and results for the services provided to the US Government (USG) Customer, which may include communications, administration, logistics, procurement, staffing, budgeting, finances, reporting, and property. The TOM will ensure that activities implemented under the TO are managed and implemented in accordance with the approved budget, Customer regulations and procedures, and the specifications determined in the SOW. This position will report to the Senior Vice President Operations and will manage onsite Program Management and other CONUS based support staff. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive. Essential Functions: Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring safety is the highest priority in the workplace. Comply with all Environmental & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation. Oversee overall contract performance, to include but not be limited to delivery, quality, security, and customer service. Work with onsite Program Management and other key personnel to develop and manage project plans, budgets, and work schedules. Evaluate existing solution and guide process improvement initiatives to gain efficiencies, increase quality, improve customer satisfaction, and reduce costs. Manage responses to the Customer that support buy-ins ensuring workplans, budgets, and change requests are developed and reported in accordance with the approved budget, DoS regulations and procedures, and the specifications determined in the SOW. Work closely with onsite Program leadership and other staff to prepare periodic reports for the Customer. Proactively resolving issues arising under Task Orders. Day-to-day high-level management of all operations including but not limited to communications, administration, logistics, procurement, staffing, budgeting and financial to ensure service levels and TO objectives are met. Monitor budget execution and spending rates, and ensure variances are brought to the attention of the SVP and other Executive Leaders, proactively seek ways to improve program cost/revenue structures. Develop and use a real-time management system to manage work and priorities within a diverse setting and across multiple time zones. Primary face-to-face representative to CONUS Customer representatives. + Manage customer relationship while ensuring adherence to the contract, local laws and company policies and processes. + Work with Customer staff as needed to understand service issues/improvements and recommend appropriate course of action Service Delivery. Coordinate and communicate with other leaders and global PMO to leverage resources and discuss solutions to problems. QUALIFICAITON REQUIREMENTS The Task Order Manager shall possess the following skills and qualifications: Education: bachelor's degree in business administration (advanced degree and/or PMP preferred) Other Skills and Requirements Eight (8) years of progressive experience managing the implementation, execution, and oversight of large and complex Operations and Maintenance facilities, including three (3) years leading diverse teams to foster Customer service, innovative solutions, and proactive communication. Experience using a variety of office software, including MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Excel, MS Share Point, and MS Outlook. Demonstrated expertise and oversight in fee/invoice reconciliation for services provided. Ability to prepare management, business, technical, and personnel reports, reviews, and documents for internal and external use. Ability to make decisions based upon broad guidelines, practical experience, and sound business judgment. Ability to solve complex problems involving multiple functional areas of operations, logistics, and administration. Customer retention may depend on problem solving skills. Judgment is required to determine best methods or resolutions for problems presented. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Superior organizational skills and work ethic. Security Vetting: Already possess a U.S. Government (USG) issued Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) security clearance or be able obtain a favorable USG MRPT clearance prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required clearance level for the duration of the task order. Citizenship: U.S. citizenship is required. Work Environment: While CONUS, this position will work a hybrid work schedule, with some work performed in the Amentum office in Chantilly, Virginia, and remotely. While performing the duties of this job, the TOM will occasionally travel to Iraq for meetings and other TO requirements. Iraq is an austere and dangerous environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to extreme and austere desert-like environment. Temperatures can reach 120- 130 degrees Fahrenheit/50-55 degrees Celsius during the summer months. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere, extreme environment, as well as willing and able to deploy to Iraq for extended periods. Work schedules are a minimum of 6 days per week and 10 hours per day, while some jobs have higher daily and weekly minimums. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time and being capable of running and 'duck & cover' during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk.
